Drupal for Legal Aid Websites (DLAW) was created specifically for legal aid organizations. Selected features include:

  • Use of the National Subject Matter Index (NSMI) for tagging and categorization.
  • Use of a legal resource directory system.
  • Selection of three pre-built visual themes.
  • Ability to present content in multiple languages.
  • Ability to create roles and user accounts.
  • Easy intregration with free Google Analytics software.
  • Use of an XML sitemap for search engine optimization with Google, Yahoo, and others.
  • Ability to create web forms for data collection.
  • Use of a graphical (WYSIWYG) editor.
  • Use of a web-based calendar.
  • Use of discussion forums and blogs.
  • Ability to enable organic groups of users to self-organize and share content and resources.*
  • Scheduling of news and other content to appear at selected times.
  • Templates comply with Section 508 Accessibility guidelines.
  • Ability to create an office directory.
  • Access to a selection of vetted contributed modules.

*  If you use Organic Groups  you cannot add private resources to the library. Instead create a private organic group and add content to it.
